The contractor license renews with the state at the end of the year. The sign permit renews with the city in September. The fire alarm permit, the stormwater permit, the crane operator’s card: each on its own date, from its own office, and some of them only send the reminder once.
The first you hear of a lapsed permit shouldn’t be the job it stops.
Type each license or permit once on the Licenses tab: who issued it, the scope, who in the business holds it, when it was issued, when it expires and what renewing costs. The file counts the days to each expiry, marks anything inside sixty days and adds up this year’s renewal costs.
It keeps no license numbers. Those stay on the certificate. This file only needs the body, the scope and the date.

It goes to the address you paid with.
It saves to your own Google Drive™ and stays private unless you share it.
It comes with sample entries already in it, so you can see how it works before you type in your own.
Why doesn’t it hold the license numbers?
The number is already on the certificate, and the file doesn’t need it to count down. Keeping it out is one less thing in a spreadsheet you might share.
What do I do when a license renews?
Change Issued and Expires to the new dates on the same row. The countdown and the Dashboard move on with them.
What is Held by for?
The person in the business the license belongs to, like the owner or the master electrician, so you know who has to do the renewal.
No app to learn. No new account. No monthly anything.
