The problem
The serial number is on a plate, under the mud, in the rain.
An insurance claim wants the year and the serial. A warranty wants the purchase date. The bank wants a number for the whole fleet, and the honest answer is twelve machines and a guess.
All of it exists. It is on plates, in a drawer, in the dealer’s system and in your head, which is the one place nobody else can reach.
What's inside
One row per machine, with the numbers somebody will ask for.
Type each machine once: the type, the make and model, the year, the serial, when you bought it and what it cost. The file totals the fleet value, works out the age of every machine and averages the hours across the ones that read in hours.
It stores no manuals. There is a link per machine, so the right PDF is one click away and the file stays small enough to open in a truck.
Machines. One row each, with the type, make, model, year, serial, purchase date, cost and the dealer.
Fleet value. Every cost added up, and the machines with no cost recorded called out, so the total is honest about what it is missing.
The Dashboard. What the fleet is worth, how many machines across how many types, the oldest one and its age, and the average hours.
The chart. Every machine by what it cost, so the expensive end of the yard is obvious.
Hours or miles. Each machine reads in whichever it uses, and the average is taken only across the ones on hours.
Red and gold. A missing cost turns red. A missing serial turns gold.
Set up. Your own types, makes, reading units and dealers, behind the dropdowns on Machines.
Sample machines. Twelve made-up ones, tractors through to a seed tender.

Questions
Before you buy.
Does it hold the manuals?
No. One link per machine, to wherever the PDF already lives. The file stays a register, not a filing cabinet.
Some of mine read in miles, not hours.
Say which on the row. The average hours figure counts only the machines reading in hours, so a feed truck does not drag it.
Does it schedule maintenance?
No, and that is a different job. This is what you own, what it cost, and the numbers a claim or a sale asks for.
S
Have the numbers before anybody asks for them.
No app to learn. No new account. No monthly anything.
