The problem

You find out a prescription has run out on a Sunday.

Three people, eight bottles, four different fill dates. One is a ninety day supply, one is thirty, one came from a mail order pharmacy that takes a week. Nobody is tracking any of it, so the first sign is an empty bottle.

Then it is the weekend, or a holiday, or the prescriber is away until Thursday.

What's inside

Every prescription in the house, with the next refill date.

List each medication once: who takes it, the dose, who prescribed it, which pharmacy fills it, when it was last filled and how many days it covers. The file works out the date it runs down and counts the days to it.

It is a record, not a reminder. Nothing is sent anywhere, and nothing about a dose or a schedule is decided here.

  • Medications. One row for each prescription, with who it is for, the dose, how many times a day, the prescriber, the pharmacy, the last fill date and the days it covers.
  • Refill by, worked out. The last fill plus the days supplied, with the countdown beside it.
  • The Dashboard. The next refill due and whose it is, how many medications are in the house, how many refills fall inside seven days, and how many people they are for.
  • Red and gold. A supply already run out turns red. One inside seven days turns gold.
  • Set up. Your own people, prescribers and pharmacies, behind the dropdowns on Medications.
  • Sample medications. Eight made-up ones across three people, so the dates make sense before you type your own.
Medication and Refill Tracker's Medications tab listing 8 medications for a family with dose, prescriber, pharmacy and last fill, and the refill date and countdown worked out beside each.

Questions

Before you buy.

Is this medical advice?

No, and it is not a dosing schedule. It holds what you already know: what was filled, when, and how long it lasts. Your prescriber and your pharmacist decide the rest.

Does it talk to my pharmacy?

No. Nothing here connects to anything. You type the fill date off the label.

Can I keep the whole family in one file?

Yes. Every row says who it is for, and the Dashboard counts the people as well as the bottles.

S

Refills stop being a surprise.

No app to learn. No new account. No monthly anything.
